Seeds of Silence & Bumiizo: Breaking Silence, Birthing Hope

In Uganda—and across Africa—millions of women and families suffer in silence, burdened by the stigma of infertility. It’s a pain that hides in whispers, wrapped in shame, and buried under cultural silence.
But one voice has chosen to rise above the quiet.

Jackie Deweyi, a bold storyteller and advocate, is leading a movement that transforms silence into strength. Through Seeds of Silence, a groundbreaking documentary series, she invites the world into untold stories of love, loss, and resilience—stories that are both deeply personal and universally human.

This isn’t just film.
It’s a movement.

At the heart of this journey beats the Bumiizo Initiative—a community-powered campaign born from Jackie’s personal experience and vision. Bumiizo (“to bloom again”) is more than an idea; it’s a living, breathing mission that empowers women and couples navigating infertility. Through workshops, open dialogues, and creative advocacy, Bumiizo is turning pain into purpose—healing not just bodies, but hearts and communities.

Together, Seeds of Silence and Bumiizo create a powerful ecosystem of storytelling, education, and social transformation.
Every frame filmed, every conversation sparked, every life touched becomes a seed for change—challenging stigma, inspiring policy, and giving voice to those who’ve been silenced for too long.

The Roadmap: From Story to Social Impact

Over 12 transformative months, Seeds of Silence will move from vision to global visibility:

  • Months 1–4: Build partnerships with Netflix Africa, global NGOs, and social impact sponsors.
  • Months 4–9: Capture the raw, emotional stories that drive awareness and empathy.
  • Months 9–12: Bring the series to festivals, streaming platforms, and global audiences—while Bumiizo activates workshops in schools, hospitals, and communities.

By merging creative storytelling with community advocacy, Seeds of Silence becomes a catalyst for sustainable impact—turning viewership into voice, awareness into action, and empathy into empowerment.
